PE
PE will be on Mondays and Thursdays. It is essential that children come in the correct PE uniform on those days.
For PE, children have to wear
· Black or grey jogging bottoms or shorts
· A white t-shirt
· A school jumper
· Black trainers or daps
Reading
In Year 1 it is essential for your child to have their book bag in school every day and that you sign the reading journal to show they have read at home. The expectation is to read 5 times a week at home. We will be changing reading books on Monday and Thursday. These will be decodable reading books until the children have mastered the code and developed fluency. On Friday we will be letting the children choose a library book to bring home and read with their family. This will be changed every Friday.
Homework
Homework is given out every Friday in a homework folder. All children need to try their best to complete the homework and bring their homework back by the following Wednesday. Please remember to use Bug Club and Numbots at home. All of the children have logins at the front of their yellow home school diary.
