PE
PE is on Monday and Wednesday . It is essential that children come in the correct PE uniform on those days.
For PE, children have to wear
· Black or grey jogging bottoms or shorts
· A white t-shirt
· A school jumper
· Black trainers or daps
Reading
In Year 3 it is essential for your child to have their book bag in school every day and that you sign the reading journal to show they have read at home. We hope this will make a great impact on the children’s reading.
Maths Homework
The children have a login for Timestables Rockstar in their reading diary. This is a game where the children can practice their times tables recall and speed. Please practice this at home at least once each week.
Each week we will set maths homework on MyMaths - this will be based on learning that children have completed in class.
Children can also play games and do additional learning on Purple Mash Purple Mash by 2Simple
Additional homework
At times, literacy work will be sent home. Please support your child with this and they will get a sticker when they bring it back to school.
It is also important that children can spell the Year 1 and 2 keywords accurately. You can help them at home by focusing on a few spellings each week from the lists below:
